Overall, SiS achieved strong positions in all indexes, and excelled especially in Productivity Index (ranked 4th), Pretax Profit (ranked 6th), and Return on Asset (ranked 10th). This excellent report card placed SiS on the top of the 50 most worthy companies in the park for investment.
SiS achieved pretax profit of NT1,673 million dollars for the first nine months in 1999, 153% over the same period last year. The pretax also exceeds 96% of the forecast for the entire year. As the low-cost PC market continues its explosive growth, SiS' integrated solutions are in high demand more than ever. SiS' recent acquisition of CPU technology from Rise Technology (Santa Clara, California) further positions the company as the only one besides Intel with capabilities in CPU, core logic, 3D graphics, connectivity, and advanced wafer fabrication. |
