INTERVIDEO AND SiS RECEIVE MICROSOFT WINDOWS 2000 WHQL LOGO FOR SOFTWARE DVD PLAYBACK

FREMONT, Calif.- January 20, 2000--InterVideo, Inc. ("IVI") and Hsin-Chu, Taiwan-based Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (SiS) announced today that the highly acclaimed software DVD player, WinDVD, had passed Microsoft's new test requirements for a Windows Hardware Quality Labs logo for Windows 2000 on a system configured with Silicon Integrated System's powerful solution for the internet age, the integrated 3C Single Chip SiS630. WinDVD is the first software DVD solution to be granted Logo status by Microsoft on this new platform.
Microsoft uses three WHQL status designations for software DVD players: Development, Compatible and Logo. Major system manufacturers worldwide require this Logo status before they will consider shipping a software DVD solution. Microsoft tests all software DVD players for compliant implementation of their DirectShow APIs, support for a proper DVD navigation and a relatively bug-free user experience.
