SiS Announces Patent Cross-licensing Agreement with IBM

March 6, 2001, Taipei, Taiwan - Silicon Integrated Systems Corporation(SiS),
a leading supplier for core logic and graphics products, announced today that
it has signed a patent cross-licensing agreement with IBM. With comprehensive
coverage, the agreement includes design and process related patents.
Specific details of the agreement are confidential.

This cross-licensing agreement is the first between IBM and SiS. It will further
strengthen SiS' technology capability.
