ASUS Uses the SiS651 Chipset in its DigiMatrix Home Theatre PC

| Taipei, February 12, 2004-Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (SiS), a leading supplier of core logic chipsets, today announced that ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) is using the SiS651 integrated chipset as the basis for ASUS' latest entry into the home technology market, a home theatre PC called the DiGiMatrix. The ASUS DiGiMatrix is a PC designed specifically for home theatre use. It is a TV/Video Recorder, with output for HDTV, and support CD-R/VCD/DVD/Karaoke/Picture-CD Playback. Furthermore, without booting into OS, it can support CD/MP3 functions, and even features an FM radio. It is also a powerful PC multimedia center, powered by an Intel® P4/Celeron® 2.6GHz for a FSB speed of 533MHz, brought together by the SiS 651/962L high performance desktop PC chipsets with an integrated graphics core, featuring SiS Ultra-AGPII™ technology. Rounding out this extremely robust package is an incredible array of extra features such as 802.11b wireless LAN, Gigabit LAN, 10/100Mbps LAN, a 7-in-1 Memory Card Reader, 8 USB 2.0 ports, 2 IEEE1394 ports, 1 S/PDIF-out, mic and head phone jacks and 5.1 channel audio.
