SiS collaborates with Phoenix on Sponsoring Science Education

Taipei, October 12th, 2005 --- Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) today announced the collaboration with Phoenix Technologies for sponsoring its “Phoenix University Next Gen Project”. Being one of leaders of the PC chipset design industry, SiS is fully aware of the importance of science education. Through this collaboration, SiS and Phoenix will dedicate our efforts on improving the science education for brining up more young talent for the high-tech industry. All the students in this project will be able to learn the leading technologies; besides, they can even earn the chance to have internship in SiS or other world famous companies. By having years of experience and cutting-edge technologies, SiS has continuously kept close relationship with Phoenix Technologies on developing latest controller chips. In this “Phoenix University Next Gen Project”, Phoenix Technologies will offer a one-year full time university level class that is the first world-wide systematic vocational training project on computer CSS architecture and development technique. Founded in 1999, the “SiS Education Foundation” has kept giving a hand on lifting up the level of science education, especially on the tele-computing field. The goal of this foundation is to encourage more young students to dedicate themselves to the related research works; furthermore, train a handful of excellent technical personnel for the high-tech industry worldwide. In the past 6 years, SiS has provided scholarship to students who are concentrated in the tele-computing field, and also successfully brought closer connection between the academic circles and industrial circles. |
