CeBIT Hannover, Germany, March 9, 2006---Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) said today that SiS chipsets developed based on AMD platform to support AMD LIVE!™ have successfully been delivered fresh home entertainment solution for digital lifestyle. Recently also release numerous chipsets which provide supports to AMD Socket AM2 processor and AMD Turion™ 64. To provide the new experience of digital home entertainment, SiS and AMD together develop a new solution branded “AMD LIVE!™ which enables users to seamlessly connect, store, distribute, access, and enjoy digital media content in multiple rooms throughout their home and even take it with them to enjoy on the go virtually anytime, anywhere. AMD LIVE!™ is powered by AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dule-core processor for desktop PCs and also AMD dual-core mobile processor for notebook PCs. SiS’ chipsets provide fully support to AMD LIVE!™ from SiS761GX, SiS770 and SiS756 for desktop PCs to SiSM760GX and SiSM770 for notebook PCs. No matter integrated chipsets such as SiS761GX, SiS770, SiSM760GX, and SiSM770, or discrete chip like SiS756 can provide support for high-end graphics cards by supporting the PCI Express x16 interface. For 3D applications with requirements of high memory bandwidth, SiS chipsets provide excellent design technology for enhancing multimedia performance. Besides, with SiS new released chipsets supporting AMD Socket AM2 processor, DDR2 memory specification and dual-channel technology can be fully supported; moreover, overall performance of operating system will be enhanced extremely. SiS chipsets providing support to AMD Socket AM2 include SiS756 and SiS761GX for desktop PCs, and SiS756, SiSM760, SiSM761GX, and SiS760GX for notebook PCs. During the exhibition at CeBIT 2006, SiS will showcase Northbridge chipsets supporting AMD Socket AM2 processor for desktop PCs covering SiS761GX, SiS756, and SiS770. SiS761GX for motherboards made by ECS and MSI will be on display as well. And furthermore, SiS will display notebook PCs made by Twinhead embedded with SiS756, Fujitsu Siemens embedded with SiSM760, and Acer, Asus, NEC, and Averatec embedded with SiSM760GX. In cooperating with AMD, SiS has entered a new digital home entertainment field with a foreseeable bright future. At CeBIT this year, there will be pretty much achievement presented to the world which comes from the co-development of SiS and AMD. |
