SiS661 Series chipset adopted by leading board maker--Gigabyte

Taipei, March 6th, 2006—Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) today announced the integrated chipsets, SiS661FX and SiS661GX both supporting Pentium® 4 dual-core platform, have been adopted by Gigabyte’s GA-8S661FXM-775 and GA-8S661GXM-775 motherboards, separately. These new-released motherboards have passed the Intel dual-core validation and are expected to be pretty hot in the mainstream market. Combining with the power of SiS661FX/964 chipset which provides fully support to dual-core processor, GA-8S661FXM-775 motherboard greatly enhances the performance of the latest LGA775 65nm/90nm process Intel® Pentium® 4 processor with FSB800MHz and Hyper-Threading Technology. Also, SiS 661GX/964 chipset empowers GA-8S661GXM-775 motherboard to advance the performance of LGA775 90nm process Intel® dual-core Pentium® 4 processor with FSB533MHz.
