SiS662 successfully to be adopted by Shuttle's XPC-SS30G2 and SS31T

Taipei, Aug. 2nd, 2006—SiS today proudly announced the implementation of its SiS662 chipset in Shuttle’s XPC SS30G2 and SS31T. Shuttle’s SS30G2 and SS31T, both using the SiS662 chipset, differentiate themselves in several aspects. Basically, the XPC SS30G2 has completed functions and full of compatibility. It fulfills users’ needs to search the webs, enjoy the videos with advanced visual effect, and even play on-line games. The SS31T, also a XPC, is specially designed for business users and characters the great performance with relatively low cost. With the SiS662/966L chipset, Shuttle’s XPC SS30G2 supports Intel® Celeron D/Pentium 4/Pentium D processor, single-channel DDR2 533/667. In the meantime, the Mirage™ 1 graphics engine which the SiS662 provides enriches the playback effect. Besides, the SS30G2 supports Serial ATA RAID storage and equipped with FireWire 400, USB2.0, and Ethernet LAN to be easily connected with digital devices such as digital camera, stereo, DV…and etc. Lastly, to provide a more stable environment for users and in the meantime speed up the air flow, the SS30G2 houses a smoothly operating Power Supply Unit (PSU), and Integrated Cooling Engine (ICE). Embedded with the SiS662/966L chipset, the XPC SS31T provides support for Intel® Celeron D/Pentium 4/Pentium D FSB800MHz processor and DDR2 memory. Based on the BTX (Balanced Technology Extended), the XPC SS31T is designed to be a low cost, easy-to-maintain system and which is ideal for large installations in corporate. With the support of SiS662 integrated chipset, which is embedded with SiS’s proprietary Mirage™ 1 graphics engine, the XPC SS31T can perfectly provide the great audio effect. In addition, it features PCI Express x 16 high speed interface to provide single transmission up to 4GB/s. Besides, it fully meets the need for business users to expand the surrounding interfaces.
