1. There is a SiS181 RAID controller in my windows system device manager. What's SiS181 RAID controller?
  A: Some motherboards / OEM system vendors target on the high-performance & scalable desktop PC, they will make boards equipped with SiS964 south bridge and the SiS180 serial-ATA controller, that will provide more SATA interface. In order to make sure all IDE/SATA HDDs connected to SiS IDE/SATA interface as a bootable drive or RAID set, the device ID of SiS180 SATA controller will be modified as 0181h.Since that, you could see a RAID controller called SiS181 in the system device manager.


2. How to start the RAID functions with the SiS RAID-supporting chip?
  A: Please refer to the manual of the motherboard or the system for the details. We provide the "Quick user's guide" for your reference.


3. What SiS products support SATA / RAID functions?
  A: The SiS180 is an SATA controller which provide the RAID functions as well. Besides, the newest SiS south bridge, like SiS964 and SiS965, integrates the SATA & RAID functions, that will supports RAID.
