1. What should I do if I encounter problems when I play a game with a SiS VGA product?
  A: Please check out the following items step by step: (1) Please check out if your system meets all the minimum requirements of that game. Usually DRMA size, hard-disk space, CPU speed, OS type ... are considered. (2) Please check out if you've installed DirectX or OpenGL dirver already. (It depends on the game requirement as well.) (3) Please check out if SiS product driver has been properly installed. Sometimes it is necessary to download a updated driver from SiS web-site. (4) Also notice the detail settings in that game. A wrong setting which does not match the VGA spec. would cause game failed. (5) Try other games to see if the problem should occur on that game only or on other games as well. If the problem only occurs on that game, it is suggested to check out the game's web page to see if there is a game update from the manufacturer. (6) Contact SiS help team.


2. Why can't I play Final Fantasy VII with SiS6326?
  A: Final Fantasy VII used RGB888 format as its default setting that SiS6326 does not support. Please change the setting to RGB555. Then, the game can run normally.


3. How do I enable the hardware acceleration on 3D games?
  A: You should check out two places to make sure it is opened. (1) Open DirecX tool "DXdiag" and check out if the hardware acceleration has been enabled. In this tool, you can switch this function between enabled and disabled. To make it disabled will shut down 3D engine and apply software emulation instead. (2) Most games provide the option to select hardware acceleration or software emulaton. Please refer to the user manual of a game to know how to enable hardware acceleration in order to get the benefit of a 3D engine.


4. How can I improve my game performance?
  A: If you are facing performance problem while playing a game, you may try the following our suggestions. (1) Make sure that the hardware acceleration has been enabled. (2) Close all other applications while playing that game. (3) Apply a lower resolution or less colors mode. (4) Update your graphics driver.


5. What should I do if I can't play a VESA game with SiS chip based PC?
  A: VESA codes has been included in VGA BIOS. You may try to install the VGA Bios to solve this problem. The VGA BIOS and the instruction of installation can be downloaded in the card maker or the motherboard maker website.


6. Is it necessary to install a Mircosoft DirectX version that a game specified in its requirements?
  A: In general, it is not necessary to do that because DirectX can be backward compatible. However, if a display quality issue is happened, it is suggested to download and install the Microsoft DirectX version which the game or the application specified. It may help sometime.


7. I can't run Turok/Turok2. What should I do?
  A: Please enter "Video" before starting that game and setup "Render Overlap" disabled.


8. The game quit back to Windows desktop. I can't enter it. What's going wrong?
  A: Some games would quit if they detected somthing that can't match their requirements. For example, Tomb Raider (Demo) would quit if no sound card was detected. Other factors such as improper aperture size, video shadow ...would cause this problem. We suggest you to check if your system specification could fullfill the system requirement of the game.
